It’s the beginning of the year, so I thought I would let you know what my aims.
Now, that doesn’t mean that this is a list of my 2018 goals. Oh no, this is what I am trying to achieve with this business.
Throughout our lives, our priorities change, our aims and goals change, what they were in our 20’s are generally not the same in our 40’s.
I spend my life working trying to achieve the sort of place that I would like to train in.
Personally, I don’t care about elite performance, I want to be the best I can be. It doesn’t matter what I do it in, I want to do the best I can do in that particular field.
I want to be able to live long enough and to be healthy enough to know my grandchildren. To either scare the hell out of them or be the coolest granddad in the world. I want to be the one that does mad shit with them.
I want my later years to be filled with growing old disgracefully, and to be filled with memories of travels and various adventures.
I don’t want my later years to be filled with visits to the doctors, taking lots of pills and my only holidays include bed baths at a hospital.
Realistically, I don’t really give a shit about getting a six pack.
I’ve never had one.
What I want, is to be healthy and slim, that my belly doesn’t hang over my belt, and my belt doesn’t leave a mark on my belly at the end of the day when it’s been straining.
When I fly on a plane, I don’t want to feel uncomfortable in cattle class.
I don’t give a toss about fad diets or baffling people with science jargon.
If I’m introduced to a new training method or exercise, I want it to excite me; if it excites me there is a very good chance it will excite my clients. Saying that, it has to work, otherwise what’s the point.
I want to know I am in a place where I am supported for whatever goals I have.
I want to feel like I belong; this is the tribal instinct in us.
Sometimes, I am going to fail, and that is perfectly fine.
I want to be surrounded by people that will lift me up and make me better, I don’t mean literally but I want the people in my life to be able to do that.
I feel I have created an environment where;
• You can be the best you want to be
• You feel like you belong
• You don’t get plagued with science and fad diets
• Where you are excited about what you do
• You can help, and does help you feel better about yourself, you learn to love you
• It can help you stay away from the doctors in your later generations
• It can help you achieve what you want to achieve
I hope that people that train here feel that way, even the ones that train with me far away and don’t visit the den.
You are still one of us, you are still a part of who we are.
If this sort of place makes you stand up and say I want some of this, then get in touch.
We love newbies.
We don’t bite.
Just remember, there are no strangers here, just friends you haven’t met yet.
Spread the love people and keep smiling!
