Before starting at The Fox Den I tended to run several times a week but I was bored and unmotivated. I also kept kept getting reoccurring injuries including knee, calf and Achilles heel.
I was recommended the Fox Den by a friend. I then experienced a torn calf muscle and wanted to rebuild my fitness and was told Pete could work on a programme suitable for my requirements. After a great initial consultation I thought I would use the month’s trial and haven’t looked back since!
Previously I was focused on cardio training, mainly running but struggled with injuries as I hadn’t conditioned by overall body to manage this especially as I’ve got older. It is great now as I get Group PT sessions which focus on my requirements and push me as I would never have done on my own. The classes are varied which therefore mix up my exercise and nice to train with others and again do exercises I would never have focused on and probably given up as too hard!
Training at The Fox Den is hard work but extremely rewarding both from a physical and mental perspective. As it’s a small friendly gym you get to know Pete and the other members making the experience fun. I want to progress and improve my fitness but don’t feel intimidated like some gyms. I feel challenged but as you know the rewards are there I just want to go for it! Also there are continual E mails and messages to ensure fitness remains front of mind where as it could easy be forgotten.
Amazingly Last year I couldn’t do hardly any exercise due to injury but Pete accommodated my program to build my strength back and build other areas I previously would t have focused on allowing me to feel much fitter and healthier. There are also lots of supporting information on diet, nutrition, and mental health which also aids in the overall program. The challenges of Lockdown, The Fox Den sessions have allowed me to continue my training through Zoom which has literally kept me going every day. The flexibility of the classes as well as the U Tube videos inspires me to continue my training. Skiing is a passion of mine and previously struggled with fitness so looking forward to trying again with my improved overall fitness.
Since Training at The Fox Den I’ve lost a stone in weight and have a stronger all round fitness.
