Healthline have published what they think to be the top fitness trends for this year coming.
As you can guess a lot of them are to do with people training from home, due to the fact Gyms in the Uk have pretty much been closed for 9 months of the last year.
As with most independent gyms we are adapting.
Some of the trends include
- Home Gyms
- Holistic Fitness
- Wearable Tech
- Virtual Training
Home Gyms have been an absolute must for people over the past year, however it doesn’t need to be a huge outlay, you can make a change with your just your body weight.
Space is limited, as long as you have space to be able to do a plank you can train in it.
How have we helped and adapted to this, well we took all our timetable on line, to enable us to still coach everyone.
We loaned out kit to our members to make sure they still have stuff they can use and take part.
We have all our classes available to our members on demand via youtube.
Everyone is running at a higher level of stress than they were this time last year.
Being able to switch off, the Yin to the yang is highly important. Stress is good in small doses but when we are constantly running at a higher level it will have a negative impact on your life.
We have a separate platform for all our members to use, session x is a stand alone platform with on demand follow along Yoga, pilates, stretching sessions and Guided meditation.
This is a side we push a lot here and will continue to do so, everything needs balance, without it things just don’t work so well.
Wearable tech, we all pretty much have something now, either on our wrists and definately in our phones, as long as we understand and use it in the right way it can help. Remember it is just a guideline and isn’t spot on.
Virtual Training is all well and good however it’s missing the one thing, all the on demand stuff is missing the one thing that gyms can give and if you have the right gym in your life, you will know this.
Surrounding yourself with like minded individuals who are all pushing through for the same thing and moving forward together is a great thing. The virtual world is all well and good and has it’s place in the world right now, but the support of a network of squad members will and does push you more forward.
